This St. Anthony of Padua  medal 5/8" is on an 18" chain. This St. Anthony medal is tin cut for a bright shine effect.

St. Anthony of Padua was the son of a knight of the court of King Alfonso II. In 1221, he joined the Franciscans and went on a mission to Morocco but soon returned because of ill health. Settling in Padua, he reformed the city and aided the poor. Anthony died at a Poor Clare Convent on June 13, 1231. He is often pictured holding the Christ Child because of a vision he had seen the Child in brilliant rays of light clinging with both arms around Anthony’s neck.

The 14KT Gold option is for the medal only.  No chain. Contact us if you want to add a chain.

Gifted in a blue velour clam shell jewelry box.
